Google is coming up with a tool to delete photos from search
Google is bringing a new tool, through which parents can delete pictures of their minor children from Google search. In a blog post on Wednesday, the company said it was launching a tool that would allow a parent to remove a picture of a child under the age of 18 from the Google Images tab or from the thumbnail.
According to CNN, Google has previously offered that any user can remove his or her personal information-pictures, which were posted without his or her consent, or any information related to financial, medical or national identity card upon request.
With this new decision, even if a person's picture is not completely deleted from the Internet, the user will be able to flag the URL containing that picture. If you want to remove it completely, the user has to request the relevant website. Google also said that their organization will review every such submission. Ask for more information if they feel the need.
Earlier in August, Google made an announcement to CNN that would ensure the safety of minors on the Internet. The company announced some more features there. Which is like the private default settings, where uploading a teenager's video will create a link to his or her parent; Through which the guardian can control it.
Alexandra Helmet, a clinical psychologist, said Google's decision would help parents to discuss the issue with their children. And with this opportunity a parent will be able to discuss in more detail with his child the various good and bad things online. This will make the idea of good and bad among children clearer.
