Nikon Z9 full-frame mirrorless camera launched at Rs 4,75,995
Nikon has launched its new full-frame mirrorless camera Z9 in India at Rs 4,75,995. As per the company, dual-Stream technology with 45.7 megapixels stacked CMOS sensor achieves 12 times faster still image reading, while also processing separately the display images for EVF/monitor and still image data for recording. It gets a 3.2-inch four-axis vertical and horizontal tilting touch screen image monitor.
The camera uses deep learning technology that is claimed to deliver the world’s largest variety of simultaneous subject detection of people, animals and vehicles. It is also claimed to track a total of nine subjects simultaneously in both stills and videos, without the need to toggle back and forth to switch settings. The subject detection works for wide-area AF (S) and (L), auto-area AF, 3D-tracking, even during video recording. The camera also offers 120 fps continuous shooting.
The Z9 offers in-camera video recording in 8K30p and 4K/30p/60p/120p. The company claims that the camera is designed to efficiently dissipate heat that allows users to record in 8K30p for up to approximately 125 minutes. Users can also choose to record in 4K with a range of frame size/frame rate from 24p to 120p available in multiple formats.
When it comes to connectivity, the camera is equipped with Wi-Fi that allows direct image transfers without the wireless transmitter WT-6. In addition, the image-processing engine EXPEED 7 is claimed to provide fast communication speed with both wired and wireless LAN.
“The new Nikon Z 9 is a perfect companion for creators shooting grand weddings, immortalizing fast paced races, fleeting wildlife moments and avant-garde fashion shows. Professionals will be truly unstoppable in their pursuit of capturing the best moments.” said Sajjan Kumar, managing director, Nikon India.
